LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

when you think of a waiting room you typically imagine a room full of people - a doctors office, hospital, i suppose airports are kind of like waiting rooms too, all expecting some sort of news, or travel, or life changing event to happen, good or bad, there is always some sort of expected change on the other side. but what happens when everyone else has been called to their destination except you? and now you're there alone, waiting and waiting. it can be such an isolating experience knowing and feeling there is something for you on the other side but the timing of it being out of your control. so you sit and wait, and try to be patient and stay present but the only things getting you through the days are focusing and planning for the future and repeating "this too shall pass" to yourself. i guess no one has ever stayed in the waiting room forever, right?

anyways, if you need me you can find me in the waiting room.
